The Flora-Bama Fishing Rodeo Returns as the "Funnest" Fishing Tournament on the Gulf Coast

Flora-Bama Fishing Rodeo is fun for all ages!

FloraBama Fishing Rodeo

No boat required in this ‘everyman’ tournament. In its 11th year this family fun rodeo has prizes galore, three deep, in over 30 categories of ‘catch’ from game fish to pin fish to blue crabs. Registration is $25 for kids 12 and under and $50 for adults with all kids entered automatically going into drawing for jon boat, trailer and motor. A portion of proceeds go to the Pensacola VFW. Tickets may be purchased online at fishflorabama.com.

 

Tickets can be purchased up until June 6th at 11:59pm and fishing begins at midnight. The captain’s meeting will be held virtually via Flora-Bama Fishing Rodeo’s Facebook page, Thursday, June 6th at 6pm for any last minute questions. Wanting to up the stakes? Compete in any of our competitive divisions including Red Snapper Jackpot, King Mackerel Jackpot, Offshore Slam, Speckled Trout, and Trashcan Slam (adult and kids). Categories for lionfish and spearfishing also available.

 

The public is invited to the beautiful beaches at Yacht Club and Ole River Grill for live weigh-ins, 2pm - 7pm, June 7th and 12pm – 7pm June 8th. Bring the family for fun in the sun, good eats, and live music. Featured live music throughout the weekend is Mike Diamond, Chancie Neal, Smokey Otis Duo, Garrett Howell, & Ben Stack.

Local fan favorites, The Red Clay Strays have blown up over the past few years gaining national acclaim. Now headlining their own tour, they are returning to home base, playing a show in Orange Beach, Alabama at The Wharf Ampitheater this July. With so much demand, a second show has been added to the bill - July 3rd and 4th. They are bringing along some local friends as well with Muscadine Bloodline and Justin Jeansonne. The Gulf Coast is excited to welcome these bands back to town with a hometown show and fill the stands cheering and singing their songs.
