Flora-Bama's 9th Annual Bulls on the Beach Raises Money for St. Jude

Flora-Bama put on its 9th Annual Bulls on the Beach event September 9th, 10th and 11th. 1200+ fans a night came to watch this adrenaline filled competition where adults and juniors ride bulls to compete for the champion spot. Always a family favorite, the first night of the event each year, children compete in a coloring contest where a bike for a boy and a girl is given away. This year's winners were just as excited and ran to the stage grinning from ear to ear to redeem their bicycles. The stands remained full while the crowd was wowed by the cowboys grippin' for as many seconds as possible. As we say each year, we will sell you the seat, but you'll only need the edge. To top it off, this event is a fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital so a portion of the proceeds from the event are donated and aid in helping cure childhood cancer. This year's event donated over $11,000 to the kids of St. Jude! Be on the lookout for next year's event. Bulls on the Beach is always the first weekend after Labor Day.
